HIT THE CONTINENT RUNNING

Welcome to my inner thoughts and adventures while i chase the coveted continents crown, for the second time running.

That's right fellow Aussies i'm at it again but this time in an all new division the "MS".

"Oh my gosh shes hit the old age group" i can hear you all saying.

No, i'm not old i'm just getting wiser, and in my years competing in pageants I've cemented the believe that if you want something you never give up!

after holding the title of MISS continents Australia i have decided to take on the challenge of trying to earn myself the MS title so that i can possess the trifecta, that all glowing continents Miss, Ms, Mrs;

though the later may take a little longer to obtain.

So how am i going to do it this time? well you are just going to have to watch and watch closely because i do not intend to go in light folks!

As with all things one really wants pageants are hard work and my work has begun with some charitable donations to some of my favorites, the cute little occupants at the hunter valley RSPCA.

I visit these guys on a regular basis and always walk away wanting to expand my family, unfortunately for me at this point in time its just not an option so i aim to do the next best thing and help feed the ones who currently dont have a home with me...or any family.

Being an Aussie I've grown up a little wild loving a big variety of animals, I've swam with sharks, held crocs, cuddled koalas and had in the family goats, ferrets, snakes, turtles, dogs, rats, cats, cows and boy does the list go on.

soo with these guys in a temporary home i figured they needed some love and possibly a tiara of their own for a day.

If your in the area make sure to stop by the RSPCA and say hello to the occupants, they may just be after a hug a from you.

Who doesn't love a good cup cake!

Today i attended Australia's biggest morning tea hosted by MP Julie Harrison.

Now as we all know Australia's biggest morning tea is full of yummy treats, cakes, scones, teas,  but it is also full of something else, like minded people who wish to make a difference.

One of the reasons i love the The continents pageants is because it aims to do just this, make a difference by supporting various charities two of which revolve around finding a cure for various cancers.

It is because of this that i was invited to speak at the podium during the event, i spoke to those who attended on the day about the system in which i'm involved and the cancers i and my fellow sash sisters are actively helping to relieve, lucky for me i didn't eat my teal frosted cupcake until after i spoke or i would have been not only been talking about teal wings of hope but literally smiling its represented color.

I'm the one your reading about!

That's right folks i am your morning news, and darn proud of it.

My MS continents journey has started to go viral with an online and printed article as well as a video interview done by the Port Stephans examiner.

I was lucky enough to be able to share my experience so far working towards the competition that will be held later this year in Sydney.

Picture this, a rural setting with the sun shining down. my sash and crown on and outdoor table and the writer sitting opposite me tape recorder in hand asking all those tough questions.

To me this has become an average day but no matter how many interviews i do i will always be grateful, it has taken years of hard work and learning to get here.

I am so happy for the opportunity to share with you all my continents experiences and dreams and i hope you will continue to follow along this path with me, or maybe even give it a go yourself!

We all have something we are good at, for me it just happens to be pushing myself to my limits and beyond so amognst all of the pageant prep i decided it would be a good idea to host a pageant modeling workshop and help some of the other continents competitors.

With the money raised from the day i will be aiding my charity and all while helping other contestants be the best they can be at the pageant nationals.

With my past pageant experiences i have come to realize that you gain better memories and a nicer experience by helping and working with other contestants, as the saying goes its not about the destination but the travel and i plan to make this particular experience one full of new friends.
